~Life Bio~

Solid Snake is among the clones of Big Boss from the Les Enfant Terribles project; those being Liquid Snake, and possibly Solidus Snake as well. He was created to give Liquid Snake the dominant genes, but Liquid was told that Snake was the superior one, while Snake wasn't told of the Les Enfant Terribles project at all. At an early age, the U.S. Government trained Snake to be a soldier. With an IQ of over 160, Snake learned to speak fluently in six languages, skydive, scuba-dive, and all sorts of stuff.

He joined FOX-HOUND in the early 90's and was trained, eventually getting the codename "Snake" which was second best to Fox. Snake did meet and befriend Gray Fox, who was the only member of FOX-HOUND to ever get the Fox rank. Big Boss, commander of FOX-HOUND at the time, considered Snake to be a rookie. In 1995, Gray Fox was sent to infiltrate and gather information at a military nation Outer Heaven. Gray Fox was captures and his last transmission stated something about Metal Gear, which is a walking nuclear tank. Big Boss ordered Solid Snake to go in and finish find Fox and finish his mission, called Operation Intrude N313. Snake seemed suspicious, but he went in anyways and defeated the mercenaries and obstacles in his way, saved Gray Fox, and found the leader of Outer Heaven - Big Boss! Yes, Big Boss, one of the best soldiers in the world, commander of FOX-HOUND and the man who was giving Snake support on the transmitter! Snake thought this made sense as to why Big Boss sent in Snake, a rookie. But Snake was obviously underestimated, and is now not a rookie. He destroyed Metal Gear TX-55 and defeated Big Boss in battle. Big Boss managed to escape while Snake ran out for the base was going to explode.

After the mission, he decided to retire and live in the Canadian mountains, but was scouted by the CIA and he became an agent for six months before Snake was fed-up with the system. He then became a mercenary and eventually retired again to the Canadian mountains. But, once again, he was brought back out at 1999, this time by Colonel Campbell who was FOX-HOUND's new leader after the Outer Heaven crisis. A military-country was being brought up in the middle east called Zanzibar Land, and they just kidnapped Czech scientist Dr. Kio Marv, who's famous for discovering OILIX which is an oil purifying agent. Snake must infiltrate Zanzibar Land and find Dr. Kio Marv and recover his OILIX formula. Snake agreed and was in Zanzibar with a radar and an improved Transmitter. Snake learned that Big Boss was the one behind Zanzibar Land and Gray Fox, his old friend, followed his former commander and is now the head of it's army of mercenaries. Snake also discovered that Dr. Pettrovich, developer of Metal Gear TX-55, was "kidnapped" by the Zanzibar Land soldiers to build a new Metal Gear, Metal Gear D. Later on, Snake battles Metal Gear D, piloted by Gray Fox, and he learns that Pettrovich was not kidnapped, he was hired to develop Metal Gear and helped kidnap Kio Marv, who he was jealous of and actually kills. Snake battles Gray Fox in a mine field and knocks Fox into a mine. They have one last conversation, and Fox dies. Snake then confronts Big Boss, who tells Snake that he is Snake's father. This made Snake really hate Big Boss and they had a dual, with Snake eventually killing Big Boss. Snake escaped with Holly White, a CIA spy he met there, with a helicopter lift.

Snake left FOX-HOUND again, but this time, he went into a cabin in Twin Lakes, Alaska. After the Outer Heaven and Zanzibar Land incidents, Snake suffered PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder) which caused him to go nearly insane. To kill his time and try not to remember his past, Snake became a slow-dog racer, with his own huskies.

He lived like this until 2005 when he was pulled back in action by Colonel Campbell who was forced out of retirement as well. It appeared that FOX-HOUND was going against their orders and, with the cooperation of the Genome Army, took over Shadow Moses. After strip searched and injected with nanomachines, Snake learned that Campbell was forced to cooperate as well, for his niece, Meryl, was sent in as well and is now captured along with ArmsTech President Kenneth Baker and DARPA Chief Donald Anderson. Their demands are the remains of Big Boss. Snake snuck into Shadow Moses and found out that Metal Gear REX was being housed her. The hostages he was supposed to rescue according to the mission plan, Anderson and Baker, died in front of Snake from what appeared to be a heart attack. This, in reality, was FoxDie which Snake was injected with along with the nanomachines. Snake met Meryl and she helps Snake go to where Hal Emmerich, the developer of Metal Gear REX, is located. He meets a Cyborg Ninja, who he has a battle with and Snake realizes that he's Gray Fox! After the battle, Fox ran to take medications which his new life as a Cyborg Ninja requires frequently, and Snake met Hal, who prefers to be called Otacon.

Otacon stated that he never knew Metal Gear was a nuclear device and he cried about his families connection with nuclear weapons. Otacon agreed on helping Snake destroy REX. Snake met up with Meryl and they went to the communications tower. Meryl was shot by Sniper Wolf, and both of them got caught and were tortured by Revolver Ocelot. Ocelot played a game with Snake where he'd be tortured and if he submitted, Meryl would be executed. Snake managed to beat Ocelot and escape with help from Otacon, but Meryl was raped by Ocelot because Ocelot is just a sick old bastard like that. Snake ran to the underground area where Metal Gear was kept. While on his way, he learned that Naomi was a spy for another group and that she was Gray Fox's adopted sister. It appears that FoxDie was altered by her so Snake can die and she can have her revenge. Snake understood Naomi's reasons but asked when he was going to die, for he still had a job to do. Naomi couldn't answer this as she was cut off by the Colonel who arrests her. Snake is furious at this, as he finds out that being injected with FoxDie was already part of the mission. He continued, however, and learned how to use the PAL Card Key. However he learned that after he used it, he actually activated REX!

Master Miller laughed at Snake and then revealed himself to be Liquid Snake! Snake found Liquid near him and they had a talk. Liquid jumped into REX's cockpit and activated it. Otacon told Snake about the weak point of REX and Snake kept on firing Stinger missile at it. It wasn't enough and Liquid planned on using REX to step on Snake, but Gray Fox managed to destroy the weak point and talked to Snake. Liquid crushed Fox's exoskeleton under the pressure of Metal Gear REX's foot. Snake was really angry and started firing missile at REX's now exposed cockpit where Snake could see his brother piloting it. Snake managed to cause Metal Gear to explode, and the impact caused Snake to get knocked out as Liquid walked up to him, picked him up, and carried him to the top of the now destroyed Metal Gear unit. Snake woke up and found Liquid in front of him. They talked and eventually Liquid mentioned about a set of planes sent to Shadow Moses to blow up everything. After contacting the Colonel, Snake found this to be true, but Campbell said he was going to try and delay this.

However, Secretary of Defense Jim Houseman arrested Campbell and mocked Snake. Houseman asked Snake if he had the Metal Gear REX testing data, but Snake had it taken away by Ocelot. Houseman said the bombing would cover up the conspiracies and the Les Enfant Terribles project as well. Liquid showed Snake that Meryl was near, sleeping, with a bomb attached. Liquid activated the timer for the bomb and the two had a fist battle on top of REX. Snake managed to knock Liquid off the top and deactivate the bomb. He awoke Meryl and they got a call from Otacon who said he'll stay behind to unlock all the doors so they could escape quick. Snake tried to convince him to save his own life, but Otacon wouldn't let him talk him out of this. So Snake thanked him and he left with Meryl. Liquid was still alive somehow, and as Meryl and Snake rode a jeep to escape Shadow Moses, Liquid followed them. They crashed outside and Snake and Meryl were stuck under their jeep. Liquid was about to shoot Snake but died from FoxDie. Meryl finds a bandanna for Snake which allows him to get unlimited ammunition and Snake tells the Campbell that the search party should look for Hal Emmerich, for he's still at Shadow Moses. Naomi was able to talk to Snake and she would tell Snake to "live" when asked when the FoxDie virus will affect him.

Snake and Meryl then left to Alaska and lived for a while. They somehow broke-up, or something, and Snake was alone and a damn drunk. Otacon managed to get a hold of him and asked him if they can join forces to create an anti-Metal Gear group called "Philanthropy." Snake agreed and together they destroyed the many Metal Gears that appeared around the world due to Ocelot selling the Metal Gear REX testing data.

In 2007, Otacon received a message from an E.E., which was the initials of his long-lost step-sister, that a Marine Corps. developed Metal Gear was being transported in a disguised Tanker. If Philanthropy got a hold of evidence that the Marines were developing a Metal Gear, their cause would be more recognized and not fringe. Philanthropy was recognized by the United Nations, but wasn't big. Otacon told Snake that he got the information from the Pentagon, and with an improved version of the Codec and Soliton Radar from Mei Ling, Snake went into the Tanker, damaging only his stealth camouflage which he didn't plan on using anyways. However, a group of armed soldiers with Russian equipment jumped onto the Tanker. They killed the crew and hijacked it. Snake took a picture of the commander of the group, who Otacon identifies as Sergei Gurlukovitch, leader of a private army and good friends with Revolver Ocelot. Snake continues onto the Tanker and then battles Sergei's daughter Olga whom he first mistakes for Meryl. He was using tranquil darts while battling her so she didn't die, but as he looked down at her asleep, a Cypher nearby took a picture and disappeared. Later on, this picture is used to convince the public that Snake is a terrorist who sinks that Tanker. The picture makes Snake seem very suspicious and he looks like he enjoyed killing Olga.

Anyways, Snake didn't know about this and continued, down to the Tanker holds where Metal Gear was supposed to be held. The Marines were listening to a speech by Commandant Scott Dolph about how the new Metal Gear, Metal Gear RAY, would stop the Metal Gear threat that's risen due to Ocelot's misdoing. Snake managed to sneak around the holds, take pictures of RAY and send them to Otacon on a near-by computer. Snake was about to escape the Tanker, but the speech was over. He waited for everyone to leave but it appears no one was destined to. For a small applause was heard, and Ocelot walked towards Dolph, telling him how his gift of the silver tongue proves him as a liar. Then Sergei managed to take Dolph hostage and his soldiers took control over the holds and got RAY ready. They all talked loudly and then Ocelot revealed the truth to Sergei - he couldn't care less if Russia rotted. He was working with The Patriots, and he was taking RAY. Then with a small gunfight, Dolph and Sergei fell dead and Ocelot was about to jump into RAY.

But Snake jumped and yelled at Ocelot. Ocelot looked at Snake and then his arm started to twitch. Then Liquid Snake talked to Snake through Ocelot's body Snake was surprised a bit but recognized his brother's voice. It appears that Liquid managed to get his hand onto Ocelot's body (Ocelot's arm was cut off in Shadow Moses by Gray Fox) and that Snake was starting to age. Then Snake was hit by water at high pressure and Ocelot, or Liquid, jumped into RAY. Ocelot took control of his body again and noticed Snake, who was part of his plans. He smiled and was glad that he was dead and used RAY to escape. However, Otacon managed to get a boat to Snake and save him. Snake got hyperthermia and Otacon tried to leak the pictures of RAY out. But the Patriots managed to get a better story. Pictures of Snake taken by the Cypher was shown everywhere claiming that Snake sunk an oil Tanker which caused the worst ecological terrorist act of all time. They did this to not only stop Philanthropy, which became known of a terrorist group rather, and to build The Big Shell which was disguised as a oil clean-up facility.

Snake and Otacon managed to hide and keep low profiles unto 2009 when information was leaked to them about a new massive Metal Gear being built at the Big Shell. Snake snuck into the Big Shell and found out that it has been taken over by Dead Cell, and the same private army that took over the Tanker two years ago, except someone else had to be their leader, as Sergei died. It is found later that her daughter now runs it. Anyways, Snake managed to then get a disguise of a Navy SEAL.

He met Raiden, a rookie who was trained vigorously in VR, and is in FOX-HOUND, which is strange for FOX-HOUND had been disbanded years ago. Snake didn't trust the rookie and identified himself as Iroquois Pliskin. He gave him his Codec frequency and often gave him support with information about the Big Shell and weapons and such. Later on, Snake sees Raiden holding up legendary bomb disposal expert Peter Stillman, who appeared to be crippled. Snake told Raiden to calm down and they talked and learned that a member of Dead Cell, Fatman, planted bombs all over the Big Shell. Snake had to defuse all of the bombs at Shell 2 while Raiden had to defuse all the bombs at Shell 1. They were given keycards and a device which showed the bomb's location on their radars. All the bombs Raiden and Snake found were planted in places which would cause minimum damage. Stillman asked Snake to look for the bombs at the bottom of the Shell while he worked on a new sensor. Sure enough, a lot of C4s were planted there, and they were not detectable by the sensor Snake and Raiden currently had.

Just then, Raiden disposed of the last of the C4s in Shell 1 that his sensor could detect. This caused the C4 on the bottom of the Shells to activate. Stillman ran to the bottom of Shell 2 to examine the bombs, confessing that he was not crippled. Raiden ran, picked up the new sensor Stillman made, and ran to the bottom of Shell 1. Shell 2 exploded and Snake was near the explosion, causing him to black out. When he came to, he received a call from Otacon. Otacon discovered the fact that the Big Shell itself was covering up the new Metal Gear, Arsenal Gear. Literally, as Arsenal is underneath the Big Shell.

Otacon managed to jack a Kamov chopper, since he was sent in with the SEALS as a technician. They planned to use it to save the hostages, but Solidus Snake, the terrorist leader who claimed to be Solid Snake approached Raiden. Snake became frustrated at this person stealing his name and impersonating Big Boss. He yelled out "NO! That's NOT the real Solid Snake!" and Solidus looked at Snake and laughed. They had a small conversation, and Snake got pissed off and fired at Solidus. He even launched a grenade out of his M4 to knock Solidus off of the bridge, which would have worked well if Vamp wasn't flying the Harrier 2 and managed to save Solidus's fall. Snake knew that he was in a tight situation, as he's inside of a Kamov chopper, so he threw a Stinger Missile Launcher at Raiden and some ammo and told him to help him take down the Harrier 2. Raiden managed to destroy the Harrier, but as it was about to crash into the ocean, Metal Gear RAY arose from the water and saved Solidus and Vamp. RAY fired some missiles and one of them managed to hit the Kamov, which caused Otacon to land someplace so he could repair it. Raiden asked Snake if he really was Solid Snake, and Snake admitted it, and told him why he used the alias Pliskin.

Snake went back into the Big Shell, trying to find a way into Arsenal Gear. He continued giving support to Raiden via Codec and eventually told him the truth of the Tanker mission. Raiden found Emma Emmerich and was making her cross the Oil Bridge so she can get to the computer room at Shell 1, for the bridge from Shell 2 to Shell 1 broke thanks to the Harrier. On his way to give Emma cover with a Sniper Rifle, a Cyborg Ninja similar to Gray Fox from Shadow Moses attacked Snake. They battled and Snake found out that under that exoskeleton was Olga Gurlukovitch, the daughter of Sergei Gurlukovitch, new leader of the Gurlukovitch Private Army, and the same woman whom Snake battled with on the Tanker. Snake told Olga the truth of the Tanker incident and how Revolver Ocelot betrayed Sergei and sunk the Tanker. Olga believed this as Ocelot seemed very suspicious. Olga also told Snake about her situation, as the Patriots are holding her baby hostage so Raiden's mission would be a success.

Together, they made a plan to get Snake and Raiden onto Arsenal Gear. Snake then gets Olga's Codec frequency and runs to the other side of the Oil Bridge and helps Raiden cover Emma. Near the end of the bridge, Vamp jumped out of the waters and held Emma hostage. Raiden had to shoot Vamp off of the bridge, but as Vamp was knocked down, he managed to get a deep wound on Emma. What seems very odd is the fact that Snake did nothing to prevent this. Most likely, he had a better view than Raiden and could have prevented this. But Snake just didn't do it, for some unknown reason.

Snake did ditch his rifle, run up to the wounded girl, pick her up, and carry her to the computer room. There he bandaged her as well as he could. Raiden arrived, gave Emma the optical disc which contained the digital FoxDie virus which was designed to destroy G.W., which controlled Arsenal Gear. Apparently, an anti-virus program didn't allow this to happen, and Emma died in Otacon's arms. Otacon went nearly insane. Snake managed to calm Otacon down and convince him to fly the hostages to safety. Otacon thought he was doing this only because he would be interfering with the destruction of Arsenal Gear, but Snake assured him it's only because he's the only one who could do it. They did a hand shake and Otacon left. Snake turned to Raiden and called for someone to show herself. Olga jumped down in her Cyborg Ninja disguise. Olga revealed herself and Raiden believed that Snake betrayed him. Olga knocked Raiden out and carried him to Arsenal Gear and Snake managed to sneak in as well along Olga.

Snake changed out of his Pliskin suit and into his sneaking suit and thanked Olga. Olga gave Snake Raiden's equipment and clothes which was confiscated, and her katana, the HF Blade. Snake was a bit confused as to why she was giving up the katana, but he didn't bother to ask and snuck his way to a hallway. He saw Raiden running down the hall and back completely naked and covering his groin. Snake made a crack at this gave Raiden his equipment. He then gave him the HF Blade and gave him a few tips as to using it. After Raiden got used to using it, then went into the room to get to where the twenty-five Metal Gear RAYs are located. The RAYs were the ones that were protecting Arsenal Gear. But on their way, Snake and Raiden got caught by a Cypher and an army of Arsenal Tengu soldiers jumped down to take Snake and Raiden down. But Snake and Raiden managed to get to the other side of the hallway, clearing whatever was in their way. A circular room was in front of them with a long ladder going up. That's where the RAYs were being held. But they were interrupted by Arsenal Tengus again. They took down all of the Tengus and were about to continue their way until Fortune, Dead Cell's leader, walked in with tears in her eyes. She believed that Snake killed her father, Commandant Scott Dolph. Snake tried to tell her what really happened by Fortune would not bother listening. Snake told Raiden to go fight the RAYs as he battled Fortune. Fortune has a device that reflects bullets and causes bombs to become duds.

Snake was unable to defeat her and surrendered. Handcuffed, he was taken up where all of the RAYs except for one were destroyed. Raiden was captured as well, and Solidus was interrogating him. Then Ocelot revealed the fact that he's a Patriot spy. That the entire incident, except for the appearance of Solid Snake, was planned by his people, the Patriots. Even Fortune's invincibility was set-up, and Ocelot now had the device with him, and he shot Fortune. Ocelot then jumped into the remaining RAY and aimed missiles at Solidus, Fortune, Snake, and Raiden. Fortune however still managed to reflect the missiles and saved everyone else before dying from Ocelot's bullet. Ocelot was then going to fire RAY's ray cannon, but his hand started shaking after Snake yelled out.

Liquid took over Ocelot, and he jumped out again, laughing at his brothers below. Liquid was the one who made Snake come here by sending a message to Otacon so Snake can make him take complete control over Ocelot at the right moment. Liquid then said he was off to destroy the Patriots and knew their location since he's been attached to Ocelot and apparently they told Ocelot. He jumped into RAY, and took off. Snake managed to break out of his handcuffs, and jump behind RAY into the ocean. He managed to plant a tracker onto Liquid's RAY and swam to safety. Otacon had a boat ready and picked Snake up. Snake felt like he needed to talk to Raiden. He went near Federal Hall, and met Raiden, who was very confused. Snake told Raiden he can choose his own life, his own path, and send his ideas to the next generation, and genes cannot send that. Raiden asked about Olga's baby, and Snake said he'd take care of it.

As for Liquid, he said he was sure that the Patriots gave Ocelot a bogus location. He showed Raiden the optical disc with FoxDie which should have their names and locations encoded within it. Raiden said he was ready to help them, but Snake told Raiden to finish his business that he needs to take care of. Raiden turned around, saw Rose and ran up to her. Snake quickly jumped into Otacon's car and they drove away before Raiden could ask Snake if Rose is real. In a safe area, Otacon analyzed the FoxDie virus and told Snake that all twelve Patriots died... one hundred years ago. Snake could not say anything else except for "...what the hell?!"
